We service accounts of all sizes and complexities; from a single W-2 to complicated tax returns with self-employment business activities, rental properties, investments, retirement deferrals, adoptive/foster parents, senior considerations, student tax returns, EIC tax returns, and much much more. We also do gift tax returns and single member LLC's. For multi-year returning clients, we will always see your taxes in the context of prior years and future year projections. Our goal is always to use the tax law to your advantage and plan your tax returns in such a way as to maximize your savings going forward.

We do all forms of business tax returns, including partnerships, S Corps, C Corps, State LLC's, and Non-Profits. If we do accounting for your business we will incorporate that process into your tax return. If you do your own accounting and have your own internal processes, we will work closely with you to make sure nothing is overlooked. We are available year-round and we consider it an integral part of our business preparation services to check in with you throughout the year, in order to make sure you are well-prepared when filing season arrives. If you are looking at incorporating, we also do entity consultations and S Corp elections. For all corporations, we assist with SOS reports and various state compliance issues, FinCEN compliance, and more.
Our accounting services are very flexible and we can tailor to your business needs. We can do bookkeeping monthly, quarterly, or yearly depending on your needs, while integrating with your current Quickbooks setup seamlessly or even auditing your own internal practices. If we do bookkeeping for you, we do that using our own software solutions and in the context of tax preparation; your financial reports are generated with that goal in mind. We also do payroll and can generate stubs, print checks, and file all required reports with relevant federal and state agencies. We also file year-end reports and 1099's should your business need it. Delivery of all work and reports can be either in person or electronically. Running payroll is often one of the more frustrating elements of running a business, especially when it comes to dealing with impersonal online payroll processors. One of our strengths is that we are always available in person, so no more headache of dealing with generic, one-size-fits-all services.

One of the most stressful elements of filing tax returns of any kind is having to deal with federal and state agencies, as well as audits. We are available to represent both clients and non-clients in audits with governmental agencies. We handle most tax issues including income tax audits, amended tax returns, sales tax audits, payroll tax audits, worker's compensation audits, handling collections, installment agreements, appeals, and compliance audits. For state audits, most of our experience is concentrated in California, but we also serve a large clientele of ex-California residents.
Many can benefit from tax planning and we consider it to be a natural part of tax preparation. If you find yourself consistently paying when you file your taxes, not only may you not be in compliance, but you are also opening yourself up to penalties and interest. Tax laws change often and we can assist in finding potential deductions and credit that can benefit you and/or your business. For more complex tax returns we encourage at least one end-of-the-year tax planning appointment to examine the year-to-date accounting. This way we can see if there is any benefit we can take advantage of before the end of the year. We can also help with planning that is not directly related to tax returns such as planning for college or retirement, succession planning, and considerations related to multi-state tax returns and trust and estates.

Some tax returns are just different. Do you live and work abroad? Do you run a non-profit, work in law-enforcement, public service, nursing or medical field, as a teacher, clergy, or serve in the military? Are you planning on adopting or fostering? Are you planning on gifting money or property or receiving an inheritance? Or are you starting a business and unsure about the correct process? All of these (and more) are situations that can be very confusing and difficult to navigate, but we're here to help!
